Greener Pastures

Cognitive Program
  • Description

Greener Pastures also provides a home for horses that would be euthanized. Instead, the horses are fostered at the correctional facility. These horses are taught a life of leisure, as many of them are retired racehorses. This program enables inmates to give back to the community while gaining vocational knowledge that they can use upon release. Inmates gain self-esteem, self-control, and focus on how they act towards and react to others.
