Cognitive Program
  • Description

    This program helps inmates and probationers/parolees learn new ways to think about their choices and actions. It focuses on changing negative or harmful thoughts and building better skills through group activities. Each session includes practice and homework. The goal is to teach thinking skills that support positive and responsible living.

  • Length of Program

    The program runs in a repeating cycle of five group sessions. It is open-ended, meaning people can join as needed until they have completed enough sessions.

  • Eligibility

    For Probationers: Must be referred by a counselor or probation officer. Priority is given to people who show a need for this type of program. For Inmates: Must be referred by a counselor. Priority is given to inmates who show a need for this type of program.
