RICHMOND — At approximately 6:10 p.m. today, a Sussex II State Prison inmate was pronounced dead at Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. The offender had been in the hospital since January 30, when he was assaulted at Sussex II. An inmate-on-inmate in-cell attack is suspected and the incident is under investigation.

The deceased 49-year old male offender is Ebony K. Auddi. He was serving a sentence of 14 years, 24 months for attempted rape, attempted sodomy, and sexual battery.
