Sending Publications
The following items must be sent directly to the Central Mail Distribution Center (CMDC):
- All publications — books, magazines, and newspapers
- Religious correspondence and religious publications
- Photobooks, personal photographs purchased from a vendor, and commercial photographs
These items must be mailed directly from the company where they are purchased to the CMDC.

Important Notes
- Effective 7/2/26: Online Marketplaces that are no longer approved – ecommerce websites such as Amazon, Ebay, etc. whereby products are provided by multiple third parties and consumer transactions are processed by the marketplace operator, facilitating a platform for buyers and sellers to interact. See Operating procedure 803.2 for further details.
- Effective 9/1/25: Hardcover books will no longer be allowed unless they are donated by an approved organization.
- Publications sent through any non approved vendor—including paperback books, magazines, newspapers, religious materials, or photo products—will be considered contraband and disposed of upon receipt at the CMDC.
