Cognitive Program

  Description

  In this program, inmates raise and train puppies until they are about 15 months old. The goal is to prepare the dogs to become service animals through Saint Francis Service Dogs. These dogs will later help people with disabilities. Inmates also get weekly training from Saint Francis Service Dogs staff.

  Inmates who: • Volunteer for the program • Have no infractions • Live in the Honor Dorm • Have experience with animals
